La Chatouillette is nestled in a regional forest natural park, in the Manche department of Normandy in France.

Parc Naturel Nornandie maine

We have called it ‘Next Door Normandy’, because it’s an easy to visit holiday destination.

We are just an 1hr 30mins drive from Caen Ferry Port. Our region is wildly known for its production of Cider and Calvados but perhaps the natural beauty of Normandy is our most famous asset.

The abundant apple and pear orchards are exceptionally beautiful, bathed in spring blossom.

In the autumn, the colours of dense forest areas take your breath away. Our summers can be almost balmy. Many of our towns have outdoor swimming pools!

La Chatouillette is surrounded by rural country-side, forests, meadows, maize fields and rivers.

Typically we share our country side with deer, wild boar, red squirrels, pine martens, hares and a vast variety of indigenous and migrating birds. Its a wild life haven!

Within these delightful and natural surroundings, La Chatouillette offers a unique and comfortable get-away in rural France.

We welcome couples, families and fishing groups of up to four, to a self catering and private paradise, with all the comforts of home.

We are situated in the midst of historical and medieval towns.

You can enjoy exploring antique shops, boutiques and local markets, bursting with French culture.

Take time out to enjoy a coffee in a typical street café or have lunch or a light snack in the many restaurants.

These are wonderful places to dream and ‘people watch.’

You may just want to relax and pass your days at La Chatouillette, relaxing or fishing on our exclusive private lake.

The walk  along our river or around the lake into our small wood will soothe busy minds and relax weary bodies.

For the flora and fauna enthusiasts, there are many unique species thriving in our wood.

These vary with the seasons, in an ever changing and magical rhythm.

There are also many out door pursuits and attractions to explore locally and further afield.
