We’re having a wonderfully warm summer here in Normandy. Perhaps that’s why many exciting things are happening around these parts.

We’re enjoying Medieval banquets, jazz festivals and memorable visits to our sandy beaches. Summer entertainment is alive in Normandy.

Our fish continue to bite readily and provide great sport. All our guests have been delighted with their catches, some even giving up counting how many they’ve landed!

Another exciting first happened here last week. Romance was alive in the summer air! Two of our guests decided to become engaged. The marriage proposal took place on the shores of our lake.

They told us they couldn’t think of a more beautiful place to ‘take the plunge.’

We wish them happiness always.

Passion flowers

These passion flowers, in full bloom at the moment, seem to depict the romantic mood!

We’ve had a busy time  this year, but there are still some vacancies for our Gite in early September and October. Look at our calendar for our latest offers and current availability dates.

Lets  hope for that Indian Summer which will ease us into our magical Normandy Autumn days. Nature’s changing hews and the majestic sight of hundreds of our swallows departing for their African homes, are sights well worth waiting for.

Now is a great time to visit La Chatouillette, ‘the little tickle’ and relax in the peaceful and beautiful Normandy countryside.
